Jonathan 'GEJ' Returns To Nigeria

Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday returned to Nigeria  after  a month’s trip to the United Kingdom and Côte d’Ivoire. It was gathered that the former President arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport on Wednesday before heading for his country home in Otuoke, Bayelsa State. It was gathered that Jonathan arrived at Otuoke at 9pm. An associate of the former President, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed that Jonathan had arrived Nigeria.   He said, “I have spoken with the ex-President and he said that he had returned to the country.” Jonathan had on May 23 dismissed a report that he was on exile in Cote d’Ivoire. A report by national newspaper (not The PUNCH) had indicated that. Jonathan had been given asylum in that Francophone country because of the fear of arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. OMG!!! Woman Kidnaps One Year Old Caught On CCTV

A woman, Zainab Salisu, who allegedly disguised as a customer to abduct a one-year-old girl, Fehintola Lawal, in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State has been arrested by the police.   Our correspondent gathered that Salisu was arrested on Wednesday by policemen attached to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, in the Idimu area of the state. It was learnt that Fehintola and another toddler were found at the hideout, rescued from the suspect before she was whisked away by the police. PUNCH Metro had reported exclusively on Thursday, May 19, that Salisu, who had earlier identified herself as Mama Oyin, disguised as a customer and allegedly abducted Fehintola in the Abule Egba area on Monday, May 16. Niger Delta Avengers attack Chevron Assets

Niger Delta militants on Wednesday blew up two additional facilities belonging to Chevron Nigeria Limited, making it the fourth time the oil major’s assets would be attacked in less than a month. Amid the recent upsurge in attacks on oil and gas installations in the area, some international oil companies and the Nigerian National Petroleum Companies have seen their facilities damaged, with the latest being Chevron.  A militant group that calls itself the Niger Delta Avengers, which has claimed responsibility for most of the attacks since the beginning of the year, destroyed two vital Chevron’s Bibi oil wells, RMP 23 and RMP 24, in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State on Wednesday.   One of our correspondents learnt that the incident occurred around 3:44am near Egbema, an Ijaw enclave in Warri North, and the wells have been shut down.
